Ācārya Strategic Growth Consultant

Annual retail consultancy for legacy jewellers

Built by one generation. Ready for the next.

A one-year partnership for owner-driven jewellery showrooms that want modern systems, a stronger team and a business the next generation can take over, grow and multiply into more stores, without losing the legacy that built it.

Led by B. Venkatesh, Ex-TBZ. He took a national jewellery brand from 4 stores to 40, and revenue from ₹200 crore to over ₹1,000 crore.

Ācārya, Strategic Growth Consultant. A golden peacock with its feathers fanned above the name.

Owner-independent

A store that sells, serves and decides even when you are away.

Next-gen ready

A clear playbook for whichever generation takes the business forward.

Multi-store scalable

Systems built to be repeated in a second store, and a third.

The legacy crossroads

Your name was built on trust. Your next chapter needs a system.

Legacy showrooms win on relationships, reputation and the owner's instinct. That is exactly what makes them hard to scale. When everything runs through one person, growth stops at that person's capacity, and the next generation inherits pressure instead of a playbook. The Legacy Growth Program turns what lives in the owner's head into a business that runs on people, process and data.

Where many legacy stores are today

  • Every decision, even a routine discount, waits for the owner.
  • Customer, pricing and supplier knowledge sits in one person's head.
  • Staff are loyal to the owner, not to a process.
  • Discounts are the main weapon, and margins keep shrinking.
  • Capital is locked in slow stock and old credit.
  • Footfall depends on festivals and old customers.
  • The next generation is unsure how, or whether, to take over.

What we build towards in one year

  • Written SOPs, policies and KRAs guide daily decisions.
  • Knowledge moves into systems, dashboards and customer data.
  • A trained second line runs the floor when you are away.
  • The team sells value, and discounts follow a clear policy.
  • Stock and credit are reviewed on data, not memory.
  • Year-round sales strategies bring in new and younger families.
  • The next generation has a defined role and a handover path.

This program is for you if…

  • You run an established showroom, as its founder or as the 2nd, 3rd or later generation.
  • You want the next generation to inherit a business, not a burden.
  • You want to modernise without losing the family's name and values.
  • You are planning a second store, or want to be ready for one.
  • You are ready to replace "that's how we do it" with systems.
  • You want a partner through the year, not a one-time report.

Start light. Decide fast. Build together.

Decide quickly. Start building immediately.

Most consultancies ask for the full year's fee at the start, so the decision gets postponed while the problems keep growing. Acarya works the other way: a one-time onboarding fee to begin, then a monthly fee as we build together, so you can see the change on your floor.

0 / 100

Example values, not a real showroom. Baseline ratings come from a manual audit of your store.

For the showroom family

A simple view of progress: your score, what has been completed in each area, and what comes next.

For the Acarya team

A working view of every task, status and follow-up, kept current by Acarya so no action slips between meetings.

The diagnostic behind the score

At the start of the year we assess 13 areas and set baseline numbers: owner dependency, pricing and discounts, footfall, visibility, inventory, product promotion, credit and cash flow, staff and HR, systems, CRM and loyalty, customer experience, communication and digital, and events and market reach.

B. Venkatesh

Retail jewellery strategist · Ex-TBZ

25 years inside the jewellery business. 6 years advising it from the outside.

At TBZ, he took the brand from 4 stores to 40 on a national scale, driving revenue from ₹200 crore to over ₹1,000 crore and delivering 150+ exhibitions across India. Along the way he personally trained and mentored 2,000+ staff, building the sales and service backbone that powered that growth.

He founded Ācārya in 2020 and has carried that same playbook into consulting, working with 15+ clients across the jewellery and retail space. Ācārya is Sanskrit for teacher. The work is teaching: the people on your floor, and the family that will run the business next.
